ISIC Rev.4

International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities, Revision 4

Officially adopted by the United Nations Statistical Commission in 2008, ISIC Rev.4 is the international reference classification of productive activities. Its main purpose is to provide a set of activity categories that can be utilized for the collection and reporting of statistics globally. Using a four-level hierarchical structure, it serves as the foundational framework for many national classifications (e.g., China's GB/T 4754) and is widely used for macroeconomic analysis, censuses, and cross-border business research.
