Other monetary intermediation

This class includes: operations of enterprises being incorporated in accordance with soft law on credit institutions and other regulations to conduct monetary business, to provide banking services with the receiving of deposits and using deposits for credit extending and providing payment services (excluding financial leasing activities). These activities are generally carried out by commercial banks, development banks, investment banks, policy banks, cooperative banks, finance companies, people's credit funds, postal savings companies, non-profit financial institutions etc. This class also includes: - postal savings bank and postal giro activities; - credit granting for house purchase by specialized deposit-taking institutions. - microfinance institutions activities.

This class excludes: - credit granting for house purchase by specialized non-depository institutions, see 64920 (Other credit granting); - credit card transaction processing and settlement activities, see 66190 (Activities auxiliary to financial service activities not elsewhere classified).
