This group includes: - Mining of ores chiefly valued for uranium and thorium content: pitchblend; - Concentration of such ores.

This group excludes: - Enrichment of uranium and thorium ores, see 20113 (Manufacture of other basic chemicals); - Production of uranium metal from pitchblende or other ores, see 24202 (Manufacture of non-ferrous metals); - Smelting and refining of uranium, see 24202 (Manufacture of non-ferrous metals).
