This group includes: - Production of natural gas; - Extraction of condensates; - Draining and separation of liquid hydrocarbon fractions; - Gas desulphurization; This group also includes: Mining of hydrocarbon liquids, obtained through liquefaction or pyrolysis.

This group excludes: - Support activities for petroleum and gas extraction, such as oil and gas field services, see 09100 (Support activities for petroleum and natural gas extraction); - Oil and gas well exploration, see 09100 (Support activities for petroleum and natural gas extraction); - Recovery of liquefied petroleum gases in the refining of petroleum, see 19200 (Manufacture of refined petroleum products); - Manufacture of industrial gases, see 20111 (Manufacture of industrial gases); - Transport of oil and natural gas via pipelines, see 49300 (Transport via pipeline).
