This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in one or more of the following: (1) distilling potable liquors (except brandies); (2) distilling and blending liquors; and (3) blending and mixing liquors and other ingredients.

Manufacturing nonpotable ethyl alcohol--are classified in U.S. Industry 325193, Ethyl Alcohol Manufacturing; Bottling purchased liquors and wholesaling bottled liquors--are classified in Industry 424820, Wine and Distilled Alcoholic Beverage Merchant Wholesalers; and Manufacturing brandies--are classified in Industry 312130, Wineries.
