This class includes: - Operation of generation facilities that produce electricity from non-renewable sources, e.g. natural gas, coal, petroleum products, peat and other fossil fuels, and emission-free non-renewable sources such as nuclear.

This class excludes: - production of electricity from renewable sources, see 3512 - production of electricity through incineration of waste, see 3821
